Here is the second part of the epic list of Top 10 Movie Fighters of All Time.
6. Tony Jaa
His breakout role came with a film called Ong Bak. If you’re a fan of martial arts films, or just crazy real life stunts then this movie is a must see. Jaa combines flexibility, athleticism and speed with his Muay Thai skills, to embarrass opponents in combat. It’s also important to mention that his ability to flip and throw his body around is comparable to the best stuntmen in the film business. Sadly, his poor script choices has left his martial arts skills in the dark, but we hope he’s able to throw a few more gems together before he retires.
Movie Suggestion: Ong Bak.
7. Jason Statham
The Englishman had three very successful ass kicking films that paved the way for his success as an action star. The Transporter films gave us a glimpse into the badass scrapping skills of Jason Statham. With a background in kickboxing, Statham utilizes impressive kicks, and deceptive head movements in his films to dismantle his opponents who always come up manage to come up short.
Movie Suggestion: Transporter I, II, III.
8. Keanu Reeves
Widely known as Neo, Keanu Reeves has been a steady practitioner of martial arts his entire career. He’s used his fits, weapons and even his mind, to defeat foes of all shapes and sizes. Reeves recently shot back to stardom with the release of his John Wick films, that combine judo, jiu-jitsu, and marksmen skills that are comparable to none on screen. Let’s hope that even in his 50’s, Reeves continues to slay bad guys and bring fans more action packed films.
Movie Suggestion: John Wick I, Man of Tai Chi, The Matrix
9. Jet Li
With one of, if not the coolest action hero names of all time, Jet Li was born into a world of martial arts. He became a national Wushu Champion while growing up in Beijing, China, before ultimately moving into film. Jet Li started out with small roles before making it big with Hollywood Blockbusters like Romeo Must Die. Li’s hand speed is on par with Donnie Yen, but arguably, may have faster kicks than anyone else on this list. He’s small, fast and filled with rage, and that grabs him a spot on our list!
Movie Suggestion: Romeo Must Die, Cradle 2 the Grave, Unleashed.
10. Iko Uwais
Relatively new to the martial arts genre, Iko Uwais is making a name for himself with his superior skills on screen. He mixes aggression, speed, and some badass knife skills, as he kills his enemies at an impressive rate while piling up the bodies.
Movie Suggestion: The Raid: Redemption, The Raid 2.
Chuck Norris was unable to make the official list, because well honestly, no list can contain Chuck Norris.
Movie Suggestions: Lone Wolf McQuade, The Octagon.
The godfather of MMA, the man, the myth, the legend. Bruce Lee is almost without a doubt the greatest martial artist to ever live. He is credited with bringing martial arts to the mainstream. Lee IS the precedent for every martial arts fighter, and movie fighter who has, or ever will come into the spotlight. Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, these are names that echo throughout history as being the greatest to ever do it. Because of this, and the fact that everyone on list is compared to him, Lee was excluded from the official list.
Movie Suggestions: Enter the Dragon, Fist of Fury
